Konecranes has officially launched its new-generation D-series electric chain hoist. With lifting capacities ranging from 80 kg to 5,000 kg across seven model specifications, the series targets sectors such as manufacturing, the automotive industry, and process industries. Featuring a modular design, the hoist’s gearbox, slipping clutch, and brake are maintenance-free for up to 10 years under single-shift operation, significantly reducing the equipment’s total cost of ownership. In terms of safety, the series is equipped with a speed-monitoring slipping clutch that enables automatic safety stops; it also incorporates 24V contactor controls and travel limit switches, ensuring stable operation across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +45°C (with an upper limit of 60°C).

Klaus Möllmann, Senior Manager for Product Sales and Support (EMEA) at Konecranes, stated that the D-series’ modular design and low-maintenance components help minimize downtime and facilitate preventive maintenance, thereby saving time and costs. The product integrates seamlessly with Konecranes’ KBK workstation lifting systems, jib cranes, and overhead cranes, offering flexible, efficient solutions for diverse industrial applications. The company also announced that, starting in March 2025, it will offer pre-configured “Quick Ship” models—standardized with load hooks, controls, and trolleys—available directly from stock to shorten delivery times. Initially launched in the EMEA region using fully renewable and recyclable packaging materials, the product is scheduled for a phased global rollout extending to additional regions by 2026.

Date Note: Konecranes issued the initial official announcement on February 3, 2025, outlining plans to expand global availability around 2026. This entry serves as a record of product development progress. View official announcement.
